"He got a pretty good look, and I just went and crashed," kata Anunoby.
Ia awalnya berniat melakukan tip-dunk, namun posisi bola yang terlalu tinggi membuatnya mengubah keputusan dengan mendorong bola perlahan ke dalam keranjang.
"Tried to get a tip-dunk or something. The ball went over my head, so I couldn't really dunk it.
So I tried to tip it in softly and it went in," ujar Anunoby.
Anunoby menegaskan fokus utama tim saat ini adalah mempersiapkan pertandingan berikutnya untuk mengunci gelar juara.
"We're enjoying it right now," tutur Anunoby.
"But we're just focused on the next game now," kata Anunoby.
Pengakuan Pemain Spurs
Pemain rookie San Antonio Spurs, Dylan Harper, memberikan pandangannya mengenai momentum tip-in Anunoby yang menggagalkan kemenangan timnya.
"bounce(d) off the rim the right way. He tipped it in the right way.
It went in. I could play 'wish I could have did this, wish I could have did that.'
But at the end of the day, he tipped the ball and it went in the rim," kata Harper.
Harper mengakui dirinya merasa sudah mengawal pergerakan bola, namun menyadari kelalaian tim dalam melakukan box out di detik-detik akhir.
"I definitely thought I had a hand on it. I definitely think I helped put the ball in the rim.
But just got to box out," ucap Harper.
